The Old School Gables is a modern conversion of the old Victorian village school. It offers a full range of self-catering facilities and sits within its own grounds with secure parking for up to two cars and level access for guests from car to front door. Free WiFi is available.

Downstairs, the hallway accesses a modern fully-equipped kitchen with a dining area. All main appliances are provided with an extensive range of cookware, dining equipment, DAB radio and digital TV.

 

The hallway has a well stocked bookcase, cloakroom facility and an under stairs cupboard with general household and laundry equipment plus a high chair and travel cot for our youngest guests. A downstairs WC and hand basin are located off the hallway.

Also accessed from the hallway is a comfortable and spacious lounge with a relaxing ambiance. Digital TV, a modern hi-if system (with iPod dock) and various board games are available to guests. A collection of DVDs and CDs is also available.

Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms. The main bedroom offers a king size bed and the second bedroom has a double bed, with bed linen and towels provided. There is sufficient space for up to two travel cots. Security gates are provided for both top and bottom of the stairs. The bathroom, accessed from the landing, has a level-access shower, basin and WC.

 

Outside is the school’s playground where children have played for almost 130 years. Whilst not a mature garden, it does provide a place to run around in or to play badminton or short tennis (equipment is provided including posts and net for badminton). You can also park your cars here or outside the gates on the drive.

The sunny paved patio is an ideal spot to set up the barbecue and eat outside (barbecue equipment and dining furniture are provided). It catches most of the day’s sunshine and is a lovely secluded area in which to relax.
